If the robber is caught while breaking in, and is hit so that he dies, the owner of the house is not guilty for his blood. But if the sun has risen on him, there will be guilt for his blood. The robber must pay for the loss. If he has nothing, then he must be sold for stealing. If the stolen bull or donkey or sheep is found alive with him, he must pay twice what it is worth.
